In Side the ruins are part of the town itself. The road into the old town passes the ancient city gate and the remains of a colonnaded street, and the Side Museum is housed in a restored Roman bath. The Temple of Apollo by the sea is a favourite spot at sunset, and the harbour is the starting point for boat trips along the coast and to the mouth of the Manavgat River. The old town's lanes are lined with shops and restaurants and get especially busy on summer evenings.
