Phaselis, Mount Tahtalı and the Lycian coast
Phaselis and the mountains behind Tekirova belong to the Olympos Beydağları National Park. Phaselis, just north of the village, was an ancient Lycian port with three natural harbours; its paved main street, Hadrian's Gate and aqueduct stand among pine trees beside small bays where you can swim. The cable car up Mount Tahtalı climbs to a summit of over 2,300 metres, with views across the whole Kemer coast. The long-distance Lycian Way hiking trail also passes through the area.

The swimming season runs from about May to October. Spring and autumn are ideal for walking and for visiting Phaselis, as summer afternoons can be very hot and the ruins offer limited shade.
