About Gümüşlük (Myndos & Rabbit Island)
Gümüşlük is a fishing village at the western tip of the Bodrum Peninsula, built on the site of the ancient city of Myndos. The ruins of Myndos lie in and around the shallow water of the bay, with sunken wall stones visible beneath the surface. Rabbit Island, opposite the bay, can be reached by wading about 300 metres through knee-deep water along the old city walls. As the island is an archaeological site, access may be restricted.
