About Lower Düden Waterfall

Lower Düden Waterfall is where the Düden stream ends its journey: in the Lara area of Muratpaşa district, it drops about 40 metres from a travertine cliff straight into the Mediterranean. The falls sit at the edge of Düden Park, a public seaside park, and paths along the cliff top give views of both the waterfall and the Bay of Antalya. Being close to the city, it also suits a short stop, and it is about 6 km by road from the Lara hotel area. Do not confuse it with Upper Düden in Kepez, an inland park where you can walk behind the falls.

Highlights

  • Water dropping about 40 m into the sea
  • Cliff-top paths in Düden Park
  • Views over the Bay of Antalya
  • Travertine cliffs of the Lara coast
  • View of the falls from boat trips

Visiting tips

Stay behind the railings: the cliff is high and the ground near the spray can be slippery. Parts of the park have little shade, so a hat helps in summer. Being close to the city, it combines easily with Kaleiçi, Perge or Upper Düden Waterfall.

Lower Düden Waterfall transfer: FAQ

How far is Lower Düden Waterfall from my hotel?
By road approximately: Lara ~6 km (~10 min), Antalya Airport ~14 km (~20 min), Konyaaltı ~17 km (~25 min), Belek ~28 km (~35 min), Kemer ~57 km (~55 min), Side ~75 km (~70 min), Alanya ~134 km (~110 min). Times are estimates without traffic and can be longer at peak times in summer.

How much is the transfer, are tickets included?
The price depends on the vehicle class and is per vehicle, not per person; prices by area are in the table on this page, and the exact price for your hotel appears instantly in the booking form. Entrance tickets are not included.

How does the return work, does the driver wait?
The return is planned as a separate transfer: in a return booking you choose the return time and the vehicle comes to pick you up then, so you do not pay for waiting time.

Do you provide child seats?
Yes. Baby and child seats are free; just state the children's ages when booking.

What is the difference between Upper and Lower Düden?
Both are on the Düden stream, but they are separate sites roughly 14 km apart in a straight line. Upper Düden in Kepez is an inland park where you can walk behind the falls; Lower Düden in Lara is where the stream drops about 40 metres from the coastal cliffs straight into the Mediterranean.

Can you see the waterfall from the sea?
Yes. Many boat trips from Antalya's old harbour sail along the coast to the falls, giving a view from below. From land, you watch it from the cliff top in Düden Park.
