During the conference, security checks, controlled roads and designated drop-off zones can add time, especially in the mornings and on the Leaders Summit days. Plan at least 30–45 minutes extra for the first session of the day.
Official shuttle, private transfer, taxi or tram?
- Official COP31 shuttle: free, but only from hotels on the official accommodation platform and designated points, on a fixed timetable. Best if your hotel is on a shuttle route and your programme matches the timetable.
- Private transfer: a vehicle reserved only for you or your group, door to door, at any hour – useful for early arrivals, late meetings, evening receptions, delegations with luggage or hotels outside the shuttle network. Drop-off follows the security rules of the day; private vehicles do not have guaranteed access to the Blue Zone perimeter.
- Taxi: available across Antalya, but demand will be very high at peak times and around the venue. Agree the route and use metered or app-based taxis.
- AntRay tram: the light rail line runs from Antalya city centre via the airport to the EXPO area; useful if you stay near the line. Check the official COP31 transport page for the stop nearest the entrance and service hours.
Arriving at Antalya Airport
Antalya Airport (AYT) is the main arrival point for COP31. With a private transfer your flight number is tracked, the driver adjusts to the actual landing time without extra charge and waits at the arrivals exit with a name sign (or your organisation's name). For delegations arriving on the same flight a VIP Van (up to 10 passengers) or VIP Minibus (up to 14) can be arranged; for members arriving on different flights, separate vehicles are usually more practical. Daily transport for delegations
Delegations often move several times a day between hotels, the venue, bilateral meetings and evening events. Practical tips for COP31 travel
- Book airport transfers as early as possible – demand around 7–9 November and 20–21 November will be highest.
- Keep your accreditation badge and passport with you; security screening happens at the venue entrance.
- Give a phone number that works in Türkiye (WhatsApp) so the driver can reach you.
- For your return flight, leave the venue area at least 3 hours before departure.
