About Dim Cave
Dim Cave lies east of Alanya near Kestel, on the western slope of Mount Cebel-i Reis at 232 metres above sea level, overlooking the Dim River valley. Of its total length of 410 metres, 360 metres have been laid out as a visitor path. Its four main chambers, known as Pamukkale, Organ, Chandelier and Lake, are filled with stalactites, stalagmites, columns, draperies and soda-straw formations. At the far end, about 17 metres below the entrance, lies a small lake of some 200 m². The temperature inside stays around 18 °C all year. Used as a shelter since prehistoric times, the cave is also known locally as 'Gavurini'. It opened to visitors in 1998 as Turkey's first show cave developed by a private enterprise.

- Rich dripstone formations in four chambers

Visiting tips
The cave is damp and the path goes up and down in places, so wear closed, non-slip shoes. However hot it is outside, it is cool inside, so a light layer helps. You can combine the visit with lunch by the Dim River.
